Florida International University (FIU). FIU is the lead organization of the GLOWS consortium. The Institute for Sustainability Science, the Institute for Public Management, and other university units bring specialized expertise in community-based governance, sustainable watershed and ecosystem management, advanced training, and interdisciplinary analytical techniques as applied to IWRM. Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS) - OTS is a non-profit consortium that has grown to include 63 universities and research institutions from the United States, Latin America and Australia. OTS was founded to provide leadership in education, research and the responsible use of natural resources in the tropics. To address this mission, OTS conducts graduate and undergraduate education, facilitates research, participates in tropical resource conservation, maintains three biological stations in Costa Rica and conducts environmental education programs. UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education. Instrumental to the strengthening of efforts by other universities and research centres in increasing knowledge and skills of professionals working in the water sector.
